MARTON TECHNICAL SCHOOL.

A meeting or committee of above was held last evening. Present: J. J. McDonald (chairman), Rev. D. Gordon, Messrs Purnell, Lethbridge, Little, Dolby, Mossman, Train and Richardson,

The director reported that the numbers in the classes were increas-. ing and that a Latin class for which seven pupils were enrolled would be started shortly. Subsequently the meeting of School held at which the above-named and Mr S. J. Davenport were present. The Headmaster reported that the present roll in the primary school was 264, and the average attendance 88 par cent. In the secondary classes the roll was 24 and the average attendance 87 per cent. Fifty pupils had left the school during the quarter, and only 28 had been admitted, showing that the population of the town was in an unsettled condition. 1
