FAREWELL SOCIAL AT CLYDESDALE.
The residents of Clydesdale assembled in large - numbers in the Carnarvon Hall on Friday night to farewell Mr McCann who, for the past two years, has been in charge of the school in, that district. The proceedings took the form of a social evening, which was characteristic of the good-iellowship peculiar to country districts. Quite n feature of the evening was tne large attendance of children to say good-byo to their late master. The ladies provided and served the supper, after which Mr T. McKenzie, chairman of the School Committee, gave expression to the goodwill in which the guest of the evening is held.
