SHOOTING.

TRENTHAM MEETING. Per Press Association. Trenfcham, March 10. Shooting commenced this [morning with the 900 yards, ten shots Canterbury Match. Up to the present no posssiblea have been secured, but Turner, Linton, registered an “all but, ’’ and 48’s were made by Marsh (Mangorei), Montgomery (Port Chalmers), Tinney (Wellington), Rabe (Karori), Marshall (Waikari), and 47's by McConnell (Canterbury), Kyle (Linton), Wellsford (Alexandra), Taylor (Blenheim), Tait (Pahiatua) and Kowan (Oreti). At present the wind has increased, and several whirlwinds were in evidence on the range. The shooting is fair. A cover match at 200 yards at a head and shoulder target is proceeding, the results of which will not be obtainable until later in the afternoon.
