FREEMASONRY.

LODGE RUAPEHU, No 12S,

The installation meeting of above last evening was largely attended, Rangitikei (Bulls), Rangatira (Hunterville), Rougotea, Horowheuua and other Lodges being well represented. The ceremony was conducted by Bro. R. Fletcher, P.G.M., Bro. F. G. Hilton, P.M., acting as Director of Ceremonies, Bro. O Pedersen as Herald, and Bio. A. Sutcliffe as organist. The address to the W.M. was given by the outgoing W.M., that to the Wardens by Bro. Hilton, P.M., and that to the Brethren by Bro. W. Meldrum, P. M. The working tools were presented as follows; —M.M. by Bro.' Easther, P.M., Horowhenna; F.C. by Bro. Webb, P.M., Rangitikei; and E.A. by Bro. Lyall, Rangatira. The new W.M. is Bro. George Cummins, and the following is a list of the newly invested officers: —Bros W. H. Smith, 1.P.M., W. A. Watt S.W., J. Robson J.W., W. H. Smith Chaplain, F. G. Hilton D.C., O. Pedersen Treasurer, O. B. Collins Secretary, A. H. Sutcliffe Organist, N. A. Nielsen S.D., O. A. Williamson J.D., B. Lloyd LG., R H. D. Carey S.S., M. J. Bell J.S. W. R. Suellgrove Tyler. On behalf of the Lodge the P.G.M. preesnted Bro J. Robson with a Secretary’s jewel, in appreciation of services ably rendered during a lengthy term. After the closing of the Lodge the visitors were entertained at a banquet at which the usual loyal and Masonic toasts were honoured, and some speeches of interest to members of the craft were given.
