FEWER BIRTHS AND MARRIAGES ; MORE DEATHS.

statistics show that marriages in the State last year numbered 9334, births 31,101, which are 241 and 8268 respectively below the totals of the previous year, though above the average of the previous five years. Deaths numbered 15,767, which was 1576 above the numoer for the proceeding year.
