United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received February 8, 9.15 a.m. Melbourne,"February 8. Lord Dudley, speaking at the yachting luncheon, referred to the value of the pastime in beeping alive the love of the sea and said he hoped to see a large number of Australians wearing the British naval uniform, not a uniform identical to a button, with that worn by people who walked about at Portsmouth, but a uniform which would be regarded as the King’s uniform. He hoped that the Australian naval forces would be part of the general defence forces of the Empire. He would like to see absolute *in all the services of the Crown between all the British citizens wherever born. He did not believe they would ever get a complete idea of the Empire until that was accomplished.
