Total for eight wickets 177 FEILDING DISTRICT v. FBILDING. A match between the above teams was played on South Street reserve on Saturday. The District Association team included members of Feilding, Haloombe, Sanson and Cheltenham Clubs. Feilding Club won the toss, and put their opponents in. The District scored 83, Wright (Sanson) with 21, being the highest scorer. The best bowling average was K. Bartholomew’s 6 wickets for 23. Feilding then went in and made 130, Drennan topping the score with 20. The District team in their second attempt made 67 (Rev. Carlyle, Sanson) 22. Ongley took 4 wickets for 24, and Bartholomew 4 for 2. As there was not time for Feilding to bat the match was decided on the first innings. T. H. Burnett and C. Fillen acted as umpires. Mrs Prior provided afternoon tea. '
Tu the senior cricket cup contest Old Boys defeated United at Palmerston. Old Boys had a lead of 9 on the first innings, and after declaring their second innings closed with six wickets down for 120, disposed of United for 40 runs.
