The Rugby International' Board disagreed on Scotland’s proposition that the daily allowances paid to the mambers of the New Zealand team amounted to professionalism, Scotland and Ireland voting for the proposition, and England and Wales against. The Board unanimously resolved that cash allowances are contrary to the principle of Rugby football and that no such allowances be made in future. Broughton Rangers, Manchester, (4 goals 2 tries) defeated the Australian League (8 goals 2 tries). In the first half the Rangers scoured 2 goals from tries. Gianes obtained a try, Messenger converting. In the second half Rangers obtained 2 penalty goals, which Messenger also converted. Heidke secured a try which was unconverted. The game was very rough, two of the Rangers being ordered off the field. WALLABIES IN AMERICA. Received February 8, 8.10 a m, London, February 7. Wales boat Scotland by a goal to u penalty goal. The Wallabies beat California University at Berkeley by 27 points to nil. j
