FATAL ACCIDENT.

NEAR HALOOMBE.

As an old settler named N. O. Hansen was driving home ;from church with his wife about 12.30 yesterdav on the Stanway Road,.the horse shied at a horse grazing on the road, and threw Mr Hansen out, causing severe injuries. He was taken home and a doctor sent for, but succumbed to his injuries before medical assistance arrived. An inquest is to be held by Mr J. J. McDonald, coroner, at 3 p.m. today.
