CHINA AND AUSTRALIA.
Press Association.— By Elleotrio Telegranbv—Copyright. Perth, February 3. Hwang Yung Liang, Chinese Consul for New Zealand, has arrived, accompanied by his wife and daughter. Interviewed on the subject of the Australian restrictions on Asiatics, he said the Chinese did not like them , but he desired to make investigation before expressing an opinion. China was developing rapidly and' was paying more attention to foreign affairs, as was evidenced by the institution of the Australian, Consular service. ' Some leading Chinese residents waited on Liang and informed him that the Australian law was not so vigorously enforced against Japanese as against Chinese.
