Huntly, January'2l. The trouble at Hnofcly is still unsettled. To-day’s proceedings have been qniet, the only excitement being a procession through the streets. Apparently nothing is to be done until the arrival to-morrow night of tne Minister of Mines. Meantime the Taupiri Company is preparing for a lengthy period of inaction. It is stated that a minority are in favour of returning to work, and that that minority is growing. Representatives of the Auckland Trades and Labour Council arrived in Huntly to-night and had a conference with the Minors’ Union Executive, the result of which was withheld from the press.
