Hoggacd were each fined £2O for tak.ng liquor in an unlicensed area unlabelled. The costs amounted to £8 14s. 1 George Thos. Hatton. for a similar offence, was fined a similar amount. Costs £1 9s. • .L W. T. Parsons and Daniel Dunne were each fined £5 and costs £3 5s fefr keeping liquor for sale in a native area. The proceedings are the result of activity on the part of the police to stop sly-grog selling.
