GERMAN VESSEL FIRED ON.

Advices from French West Africa state that the Liberian Customs gunboat Lark, commanded by a British Naval Reserve officer, fired at a steamer belonging' to the German Woremann Line, off Gloucester. The Lark was recently instructed to stop breaches of the Customs regulations and to prevents the entrance of ships to Liberian ports, which are not open to the trade of the world.

The guardship stationed on the Cameroon Coast has started for Liberia.
