THE BROKEN HILL TROUBLE.
United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. Sydney, January 14.
Another Broken Hill rioter has been fined £lO for police. Counsel for the combined Barrier Unions applied to Justice Higgins for a rule nisi restraining the Proprietary Company from continuing the look-out, until the matter comes before the Federal Arbitration Court. Judge Higgins was not satisfied that this was a case for an injunction. It was made out that the Proprietary Company might, apart from any industrial dispute, be closing down for business reasons. He, however, granted a rule nisi returnable on the 32nd, in order to give the Company a chance of showing cause. Received January 15, 10.10 a.m. Sydney, Janaury 15.
Broken Hill was startled by a heavy explosion last.;night and found the water main supplying Block Ten mine had been blown up with dynamite.
