The ground was heavy for the Clifton and Bristol v. Wallabies’ match.

In the first half play was even. G&in obtained an unconverted try.

In tbe second half, Hickey and McCabe scored tries, the latter’s try being converted. Bristol secured a try. The Wallabies thus won hy 11 to 8.

ALLOWANCES TO PLAYERS

Mr MacMahon, manager of the Wallabies, states that allowances were unthonght of in Australia till the visit of Molineux’s team. Mr McMahon reminds the Scottish Union that Bedell-Sievwright’s team , received allowances, and the Wallabies simply following the English Union’s rule. They are confident that they are not infringing the laws of amateurism in any shape or form.
