Press Association. Auckland, January 18. A Sre in Kendeidine and Kirkaps’ chemical factory at Freeman’s Bay, damaged the buildings and stock to the extent of several hundred pounds. The building was insured for £650 in the National Office and £350 in the Northern. The_stock for £IOOO in Norwich Union. Dargaville, January 13. About midnight a fire at Aoroa, near Dargaville, completely destroyed the local hall, a boardinghouse, occupied by Thompson, and owned by Bradley, and a cottage occupied by Lowe, and owned by the Mitchelson Timber Co. To prevent tbe spread of the fire another cottage was demolished. The insurances are not yet available. The damage was very considerable.
