STOCK REPORT. The N. Z. Loan & Mercantile Agency Co. report:—At Palmerston. North on Thursday we had a small yarding of both sheep and cattle. We were successful in placing the whole of our entry at ruling rates. We quote: Sheep: Fat ewes 13s to 13s Id. Cattle : Dairy cows £3 3s |6d to £3 12s 6d, 20-months steers £2 8s 6d, 2%-year steers £3 3s 6d, 3-year steers £3 10s, forward bullocks £6 ss. Also in conjunction with Dalgety & Go. 2*4 -year steers £3 4s 6d. At“Feilding on Friday we had a small yarding of sheep and a moderate entry of cattle. Bidding for all classes of sheep was dull, and prices were easier. Cattle sold at late rates. Store lambs 5s 7d, store ewes 4s 2d to 6s, 2-tooth ewes; in lamb 14s Id. weaners 6s, rough steers £3 Is to £3, steers £3 8s 6d, fat cows £3 fSa to £4 11s 6d, store cows 30s to £2 2s 6d, cows in calf £3. At Rangiwahia on Toes day we had a good yarding of sheep and a small one of cattle. We placed the whole of our yarding at following rates :—Mixed lambs small 4s lOd to 5s 3d, others to 7s, cull lambs 3s 5d to 3s lOd, ewe lambs 7s 9d, f.m. ewes in lamb Gs Bd, 8s 3d, 8s 7d to 9s, mixed age ewes in lamb 7s 6d to‘lßs, empty store ewes 6s 6d to“8s, store wethers 9s 2d, 'weaner steers 9s, springing cows to 6s.
