HOCKEY.

CLUB FORMED AT BULLS

An enthusiastic meeting was held on Monday evening for the purpose of forming a Young Men’s Hockey Club. There was a good attendance. Mr J. Hawthorne Gray was in the chair. Mr W. Clark was elected captain pro tem and M. J; McGilligau bon. secretary. It was , decided to invito the Marion Club to play a friendly game, date to be arranged. The colours selected were i black and white and the club will be called fbe Magpies A hearty vote of thanks was passed ,to the chair and to Mr Walker for the use of sample room. The following team, was selected to play a friendly game' against the Eowhai Ladies’ Club on Wednesday next, the gentlemen to play with' straight sticks: —W. Green, J. Ransom, J. J. Mansell,. J. Ellery, A. Nicholson, W. Clark,, O. McHardie, G. Nicholson, Mansell, B. McKenzie, and M. «L McGilligan.
