WEDDING.
.■■WALTON—TOOTHILL, A pretty wedding took place at St. Stephens’ Church, Marton, on Wednesday, 3rd June, when Mr W, H. Walton, missioner |to St. Peter’s parish, Wellington, and younger son of Mr- J. Walton, Marton, late of Halifax, Yorkshire, was married to Miss Ethel A Tootbill, youngest duaghter of the late Mr John W. Toothill, Sheffield, England, The bride’s dress was of striped white guaze, with silver trimmings Ifand belt, and a wide flounce and bretelles of old Flemish lace. She Wore a lace veil and orange blossoms and carried a beautiful white shower bouquet. The bride was attended by Miss B. Walton, sister of the bridegroom, and little Miss B. Ritchie, her niece. The former, who had a bouquet of red flowers, wore cream silk muslin, with lace insertion and a white hat with ostrich plumes. Little Miss Ritchie was dressed in white uiuon-dc-soie over pale blue and wore a silk point lace bonnet. Mr J. G. Castle aceompnied the bridegroom as best man, and the ceremony was performed by the Rev. Drinkwater, M. A. The wedding breakfast was held at Mr J, Walton’s house, Marton Junction. Mr and Mrs Walton left for Wellington by the afternoon express’, the bride wearing a tailor-made costume of dark green cloth and a Paris [hat with bronze and blue ostrich plumes.
