POLAR RESEARCH CONGRESS.
United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. Received June 5, 9.10 a.m. London, June 4. Britain was unrepresented at the Polar Research Congress. The delegates included Gorlachi, Nordenskjolcl, Arctowhki, Eorchgrevink, Sverdrup and Licointe. Captain Collins, Commonwealth representative, presented a memorandum by Mr Hunt, Commonwealth meteorologist, which suggested increased‘;‘care in the selection of instrumental equipment suitable for polar conditions. This was favourably received.
