Inniskillen, and Mahoe fell. The winner and Le Beau raced together after the first round till descending the hill on the final circuit, whore Sol headed Le Beau, but could not oatoh Loch Fyne. Won by four lengths. Time, Bmin 23sec. Remuera Hurdle Race, two miles.—Lady Hune 1, Creusot -2, Showman 3. Other starters: Ouiragno, Dolores, Hautapu, Omati, and Landlock. Won by two lengths. Time, 3min 55sec. Prince of Wales’ Handicap, 7 furlongs.—Haldane 1, Scotty 2, r.Tni Oakobau 3. Other starters: Miss Winnie, Delegate, Celtic, Leonator, Lochbuhie, Foremost, Certainty, Tamainupo, Maharanui, Belario, Vasa, and Recreation. Won by a length and a half. Time, Imin SSsecs. Tally-ho Steeplechase, 3 miles.— Cinque 1, LadyLanta 8. Marakokiri, the only other starter, fell. Won by four lengths. Time, 6min 48secs. OTAKI MEETING. FIRST DAY. Wellington, June 3; The Otaki Maori Racing Club’s Meeting opened in fine weather today. The attendance ‘was large. The sum of £10,437 passed through the totalisator, as against £11,789 last year. Twenty bookmakers were licensed to bet. Results: — Flying Hack Handicap, six furlongs.—Rangipapa 1, Locbiela 3, Yosami 3. King Post finished third, bnt could not draw the weight, and Yosami received third money. Scratched: Sir Frisco. Won by a length and a half. Time, Imin 16 3-sseo.i Hack Hurdles, \% miles.—Whatakura 1, Oyrns 2, St. Amelia 8. Mount Cook finished first, but could not draw the weight. Kurawaka and Wailethe cut out the running for a mile, where the former lost his position. Seaman joined Wailethe at the turn. In§,the s straight Mystification challenged Wailethe. Comedian led to the distance, where Taitoko challenged and, getting up in the last strde, won by three parts of a length. Tme, Imu 43sec. Maiden Flat Race, seven furlongs.— Iranui 1, Blue Ribbon 2, Timothy 3. Scratched : Sleepy’. T ane, Ohatteress, and Llanwern. Won by half a length. Time, Imin 31seo. Rangiura Handicap, six furlongs,— Penates 1, Ballarat 3, Simplex 8. Scratched: Aboriginal and Hillspring.; Won by a length. Time, Imin 15 3-ssec. Birthday Welter Handicap, seven furlongs.—Sir Frisco 1, King’s Birthday 3, Buoyant 3. Buoyant led for six furlongs. Sir Frisco took charge at the distance and won by two lengths. Time, Imin 30seo.
