WEDDING.

At Feilding yesterday took place the marriage of Mr William. Garthew, only sou of Mr William-Car-thew, of Feilding, and Miss Minnie Brown, only daughter of Mr L. T. Brown. The bridegroom was bom in the town, Mr Wm. Garthew, sen.’, having been one of the first to start business in Feilding, and Mr L. T. Brown and Mrs Brown have livedpn the’Feilding district during the most part of their married life. When to t his can be added that both families have the respect of all who know them the unusual in the union is explained. The Wesleyan Church, wJiere the service was conducted by the Rev. O. E. Beecroft, had been tastefully decorated for the occasion. The beauty of the bride was enhanced by a. handsome dress of white silk* bacchante, trimmed with silk lace and insertion, and she wore the usual wreath and veil, and carried a pretty bouquet. P4iss Evelyn Finnis, cousin of the bride, and Miss Eveline Garthew, sister of'the bridegroom, were the bridesmaids. Both wore dresses of cream nun’s veiling, trimmed with cream insertion and lace, and cream velvets hats trimmed with silk and feathers. Each carried Mr Fred Jannings officiated as best man, and Mr Wm. Girling (Blenheim) as groomsman. The bride was given away by her father, and there was a large attendance of friends and relations at the ceremony. A large number of guests assembled during the afternoon at the residence of the bride’s parents and showered good wishes on the happy couple, who left by the afternoon train to spend their honeymoon at Wellington,
