The Turkish cruiser Hamidieh, meeting with a hostile reception at Yathi, fired two rounds of blank, which stopped the firing from the Island. Tranquility now prevails. A semi-official report at Athena states that the Turkish soldiers repeatedly fired at the Consulates. Those defending the Governor’s palace fired at passers-by indiscriminately.
