The mutilated body of Marie Bailes, aged years, who lived at Islington, was found in the public lavatory, at the Elephant and Castle, wrapped in brown paper. The head was almost severed. It is supposed the child was murdered by a madman or epileptic. Seven hundred detectives are searching for the murderer.
