The A.R.O. Winter Meeting "began to-day in line weather. The coarse is somewhat heavy. Results : Maiden Steeplechase, miles.— Good Faith 1, Cinque 2, Lady Lanta 3 Scratched ; Romany King, Te Kaintii and Royal Shot. Bullworth was, in tho lead to the old water jump where lie fell. Good Faith came to the front and won by two lengths. Time, 4min 57sac. Jervcis Handicap, five furlongs.— Waucliope 1, Doggerbanlc 2, Octaroon 3. Scratched: Mark Tims, Lady Betty, Glenora, and Elen ore. Wauchope assumed the lead after going a furlong and was never headed, winning easily by a length. Time, Imin 6 2-sscc.

Maiden Hurdles, 1% miles.— Pierre 1, Tui 2, Noteorini 3. Scratched : Pukenui, Pearl Necklet, Lady Regel aud Hikuau Pierre and Tui raced to the last fence together,, tho former staying longest, winning bv a bare length. Time, 3min 28sec.

Great Northern • Hurdles, 2 % miles.—Waipn 1, Sol 2, Lady Hune 3. Scratched ; Mahoe, Hautapu, Prospector, Defeat and Kapakapa. Omati, Paritutu, and Aorangi were leading three fences from home, where all fell, leaving Waipn and Sol in the lead, and tehy fought out a great finish, Waipu winning by two lengths. Time, smin Bsec. Cornwall Handicap, 1% miles. — Bohrikoff 1, Leonator 2, Celtic 3. Scratched: Moscow and Belario. Bohrikoff pub in his claim at the distance and won by a length. Time, 2min lOsec. Ladies’ Bracelet, 1 % miles. —Belario 1, Ahei 2, First Gun 3. Scratched: Tui, Viking, and Alfalfa. Belario was first to turn for home aud won by two lengths. Time, 2min 57 2-ssec.

Members’ Handicap, five furlong s—Foremost 1, Tauriki 3, Haldane 3. Scratched: Miss Winnie, Lochbuhie, Tamainupo, Duart and Inaha. Foremost was in front at the home turn, and galloping freely, won by a length. Time, Imin 16 3-ssec.
