Owing to being struck by a cart, bombs wrapped in paper and laid on the tramline in Calcutta were exploded. Four natives were seriously in-

jured. Notices in Bengali, which had been previously distributed, warned natives not to tramcars* Ibe cause it was intended to destroy them.

BOMBAY EDITORS ARRESTED,

Received May 18, 9.7 a.m. Calcutta, May 17. T,he editors of the Yelavi and Arunodinya, the Bombay l native weekly newspapers, have been arrested on charges of sedition.
