STOCK REPORT. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. report as tinder: —At Palmerston on Thursday we had a heavy yarding of both sheep and cattle. There was a goo d attendance of buyers, and although bidding was not brisk, good business was done at late values. Breeding ewes are still neglected, but sheep in good condition sell* freely. Buyers were present for cattle, and most lines sold under the hammer. We quote Sheep : store ewes 7s 2d to 7s 3d, forward ewes 9s 6d, coll 2tooth ewes 8s 3d, wethers small 9s 3d to 9s 4d, store wethers 11s to 12s 9d. Cattle : Cull weaners 3s, weaner steers 15s to 22s 6d, store cows 21s to 3(>s forward cows £3 7s to £3 4s, yearling heifers 24s 6d, forward heifers 365, cows and calves £2 3s, fat cows £4 5s to £4 10s, _ 2-year steers £3 I3s 6d to £2 lbs, •3-year steers £3 17s, forward bullocks £6 Is, bulls £3 6s to £5. GRAIN~AND SEED. Messrs Kaye and Carter, Ltd., Christchurch, report as follows: Wheat: Milling wheat Tuscan 5s to 5s Id, Pearl 5s ’d to 5s 2d, Hunters 5s to’ss d, fowl wheat 14s 9d to 4s lOd f.o.b.
