Per Press Association. Auckland, May 13. The house gutted by fire in Stanley street this morning was insured for £3OO in the New Zealand office. The furniture was insured in the Victoria office for £l5O. New Plymouth, May“lß. A six-roomed house at Spotswood settlement, owned and occupied by Mr Lovegrove, a painter, was burned to the ground to-night owing to a lamp bursting. Partciulars are not available.
