DRINKING ON RAILWAY TRAINS.

Press Association. Christchurch, May 9. Christchurch Prohibition League last night resolved, in view of „the tragedy resulting in the death of one of the "Dunedin Volunteers connected with the Easter encampment, and the result of the Otago Daily Times’ inquiry into the sobriety of certain railway employees on the train, from which the deceased volunteer fell, that this League urges upon Government that regulations be at once issued prohibiting the consumption of intoxicating liquors upon railway trains, and enforcing total abstinence during working hours upon all railway employees.
