ARRIVAL AT SAN FRANCISCO

Per Press Association. —Copyright. San Francisco, May 7. Admiral Evans’ fleet has arrived at San Francisco.

Upwards of a million people welcomed the fleet, and the enthusiasm was intense. Sydney, May 17. At a citizens’[meeting in the Town Hall, the Lord Mayor presiding, it was decided to co-operate with the Commonwealth and State Government in arranging for a fitting welcome to the American fleet.
