Owing to the amateur definition adopted by the Conference of Sports delegates the Cricket Association will have to notify the Federation of the names of players who receive more than the allowance provided by the definition and they will be stamped as professionals, cricket being classified as a" game amateurs and professionals can play together. A curious exception made is as regards golf which is treated as an individual game and, therefore, excluded from teams’ games, and *in consequence cannot hold open championships so professionals and cannot meet.
