A SERIOUS CHARGE.
Per Press Association. Auckland, May 5,
Daniel Kennedy, 40 years of age, was arrested this afternoon on a charge of attempting to murder his wife. The latter keeps a boardinghouse in Wakefield street, and Kennedy visited her this afternoon, and an altercation ensuing, he is alleged to have fired at her with a revolver. The bullet went wide of the mark, however.
