DRUIDS’ HALL, MARION.
(Contributed.) That Mr. Curran’s subject last night at the Druid’s Hall suited the tastes of Mar ton people was evidenced by the large number of people that attended. After getting as many boys as possible to sit on . the floor and tlie edge of the plat- ■ form there was not nearly enough seating accommodation —or standing room either —for all that attended - and many had to leave without hearing the address at all. Those who were fortnnate enough to find room were unanimous, as far as we can gather, that Mr Curran knew what he was talking about. The speaker, ■ no doubt, has had a wide experience in sceptical questions, and after answering a few of the leading questions generally put forward by infidels, he went on to prove from fulfilled prophecy that the Bible is absolutely true. Babylon was instanced as a subject of prophecy and remains in the exact condition today that prophecy described. A heap of ruins inhabited only by wild beasts and a place where the daring, independent sons gof Ishmael refuse to pitch their tents. Tyre, too, was mentioned as a proof of the accuracy of the prophecy of the Bible and a lengthy discourse was brought to a close with an earnest appeal that men and women would believe the Bible; not only of things past, but of events that must come to pass. Mr Curran intends to be at the Druid’s Hall again on Thursday, Friday and Sunday uights, to follow his subject a little further and will, doubtless, ghave a full hall each night.
