WELLINGTON MEETING. SECOND DAY. Per Press Association. Wellington, May 3. There is fine weather and bright sun and the course is in good order. Twelve bookmakers have been licensed inside and 19 outside. Flags are flying half-mast high out of respect to the late Mr G. G. Stead. Results:— Hurdles, l^-miles; Repulse 1, Royal Blue 3, Te Kainui 3. All started. After going half a mile Repulse took charge and was never again headed, winning easily by half a length. Time, 3min 50seo. , Hutt Handicap, one mile: Olanchattan 1, Kurawaka 2, Moscow 3. All started, hut Sea King. Toa Tuhi was first out but soon died away to the rear, leaving Kurawaka and Clanchattan to carry cm the running and the pair fought out a good finish, Clanchattan winning by a head, Moscow three lengths away. Time, Imin 44seo, Muritai Hack seven furlongs : Wailetho l/.Taitoke 3, King Post 3. Also ran : Wharekura and Corali ■ Won easily by a length and a half. , AVONDALE MEETING. SECOND DAY. Auckland, May 3. ■ The weather is fine and there is a good attendance. Results: — Maiden Hurdles: Landlock i, Montigo 3, Miss Crispin 3. Scratched: Paritutn, Freemouut, Kapakapu and English. Won easily. Time, Smin 18sec. Flying Handicap : Mighty Atom 1, Stylish 3, Kirsty 3. Scratched : Tui Cakobau and Frederick. Won by two lengths. Time, 50sec. Pony Handicap: Imprimus 1, Octoroon 3, Ngakapa 3. Scratched : Banchee, Won easily. Time, Imin 4sec.
