OBITUARY.
MR G. G. STEAD. Per Press Association. Christchurch, April 29. Mr G. G. Stead died shortly after 4 o’clock this afternoon. Mr Stead '' sustained a sudden seizure a few days ago, from the effects of which he never recovered. Received April 30, 10.10 a.m. Sydney, April 30. The newspapers publish apprecia- * tive notices of Mr Stead as a citizen and a sportsman.
