ROYAL PALACE BOMBARDED.
STRANGE PRENZY OP A SWEDISH LUNATIC. Christian’a, March-10. A Swedish Itmatic; whose mania consists of a violent antipathy toward King Haakon, bombarded the royal palace to-day with a repeating rifle. Before he was placedl under restraint he managed to fire twelve or fifteen shots at the palace, sbatter-s iug several windows, and splintering, the woodwork in two apartments, including the King's study, where two bullets were afterwards found. King Haakon and the other memhers of the Rbyal Family ware visiting VoxenkolSen, on the outskirts of the capital,, at the time the attack was made, and the portion of thepalace agaiiast which the lunatic directed has j-ifle fire! was un-; occupied. The lunatic, wbo pro;-res to be 4 labourer aaired G'l’n, has shown signs of mental derangement' for some wecfcs, and was formerly confined in an asylum at Stockholm, He has been misslrg f .’em his home for three days, dm iug;which time he developed acute mania.
