THE BLENHEIM FATALITY.
SUSPECTED EOUL PLAY. Per Press Association Blenheim, April 18. Scott Harding, who was mysteriI ousiy injured in the Grove Road on Wednesday night, died at the hospital at 1.39 yesterday afternoon, | never having regained consciousness. His head was frightfully smashed. I It is unlikely this was the result: or I a fall from his horse as firet_ su 8 - I gested. Harding, who was of late I years freqently intoxicated, is known I to have imbibed excessively tffl the I evening of the occurrence and was I said to have drawn money out of the I bank during the day. The police I are reticent. A detective is making I inquiries. The inquest was to have I been held this morning, but has been I adjourned till Tuesday in order to I get something definite.
