EASTER MANŒUVRES.

Per Press Association. Auckland, April 18

Auckland Volunteers engaged in Easter manoeuvres just beyond Lake Takapuua. At seven o’clock last night the hostile cruiser Amokura lauded 300 men to select a position and cover the disembarkment of the remainder of the advance force on Saturday morning. This morning the defending force advanced to meet the enemy and the fight is now in full swing. The weather is perfect.
