Five ex-Governors-Genaral of Canada propose that the British public should subscribe £250,000 towards the Dominion scheme to convert the battle fields at Quebec into a public park. At the preliminary meeting at the Mansion House, the proposal was well supported. The . Lord Mayor said that no doubt the appeal would be successful.
