MAULED BY A TIGER.
NEW ZEALAND SPORTSMAN INJURED. Press Association —Copyright. Received April 18, 9.23 a.m. Calcutta, April 17. Mr Leopold Aclaud, a New Zealand landowner, was wounded by a tiger in Khalna district, India. The tiger disappeared in the jungle and suddenly reappeared and felled Mr Acland. Another of the party shot and killed the tiger while it was dragging Mr Aclaud by the arm into the jungle. Mr Acland’s arm has been amputated.
