THE SAN FRANCISCO WELCOME. SOCIETY LADIES'.AND SAILORS. Per Press Association. Auckland, April 15. News from San Francisco states that it was the intention of the Navy Department to assemble both the Atlantic and Pacific fleets on May Bth. A feature of the shore festivities will be a great ball arranged by society women to entertain the men of the fleet at which there will be no social distinctions, several society ladies having expressed the desire to dance with American sailors.
