Per Press Association. Hastings, April 13.

This morning the Hustings bakers’ carters, eleven in number, struck for better pay. The strikers state that they have been receiving 42s per week of 54 hours, but more often than not they are worked 02 hour's. They claim 50s and overtime. They met on Saturday night and decided to strike if their demands were not acepted. No reply has been received from the employers.
