Press' Association—Copyright. Received April 13, 8.30 a.m. Berlin, April 12
f The Kaiser has refused permission erection [of a fstatue irchow, the great scientist. Residents of Berlin are greatly annoyed.
[The reason of the Kaiser’s action probably is that the Professor as a politician held advanced liberal and democratic views. Virchow’s best monument is the sanitary system of Berlin, which owing to his efforts became one of the healthiest cities in the world, from being one of the unhealthiest. ]
