THE RANU MINES.

PLENTY OF NATIVE LABOUR

Press Association —Copyright, Received April 11, 8.8 a.m.

Capetown, April 10. jjj

There are 25,000 more natives on the Rand than in 1907. This is due to commercial stagnation, and the crisis in the diamond industry. De Beers, Premier and Jagersfoutein mines have released 20,000 labourers, and the Central South African Railway 17,500.
