Thomson; vice-presidents for Union, Messrs Barthorp and Bull; committee, captain, vice-captain, club captain, Mr lililne and secretary ex officio. Secretary and treasurer, Mr H. Warner. Medals for best backs and forwards in seniors and juniors were given by Messrs McManaway, O. Stratofrd, Rees and Upchurch.
Some families seem to be born to misfortune. It only seems the other day that Mr G. Carter, of Silverhope. had one of his boys badly injured, and on Friday last his son, Bert, had the calf of his- leg cut very badly with an.axe, the injury requiring six stitches. Dr. Smith was promptly cn the scene and the patient is progressing astisfactorily.
