ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

Press Association. Wellington, April 6. Additional particulars of the death of Gillies, telegraphist, show that the road where the accident happened was wide enough to allow several vehicles to pass. When the motor car came within a few yards of the cyclists deceased seemed to swerve and was struck by the car, which passed over cyclist and bicycle. Deceased was a single man. Dunedin, April 6.

Wm. Tizard, wenchman on Hartley and Riley’s dredge, dropped dead on Saturday night from heart disease.

John Maxwell, aged 55, dropped dead this morning at his work. He was employed atyhe city gasworks. He had been under medical treatment for heart disease.
