FLAX MILLING.
Per Press Association. * Palmerston N., April 1. The New Zealand Elaxmillers J Association Executive met here tonight, Mr Seifert (president) in the chair. Mr Pryor was also present. The president stated that he had telegraphed the Valuer-General, asking for a re-valnatiou of the flax properties in view of the fall in the prices, and had received a reply stating that it would he necessary to make application in individual Cases. It was decided to circularise members on the subject. It was also resolved to make representation to the Shipping Companies on the matter of freight charges in view of the present situation, hut it was considered unreasonable to ask any reduction iu railway charges. . . Mr Toogcod explained the position in connection with his patent flaxdressing machine, and it was resolved to communicate with the Patent Office, and with various Flax Milling Associations with a view to give the machine a trial.
