THE ELECTRIC GUN.
Press' Association. Auckland, April2. Professor Brown, Physics Professor in Auckland University, who has just returned from England, heard nothing whatever of Simpson’s electric gnn. He considers it quite possible that such a velocity as that stated in the cable could be obtained on the principle of the inductive coil with a coil 100 yards long and a sufficient powerful dynamo. There was no reason why 30,000 feet a second or even a higher velocity might not be obtained if the gun was worked on that principle. Any other nation might easily adopt it, and it would he of doubtful benefit to Britain.
