The directors of Loudon East India Docks recommend the proprietors to accept Mr Lloyd George’s offer to purchase as part of the Government scheme for the Port of London.

Mr George informed Mr Collins, Commonwealth representative, that when a proper statutory authority had been consulted then was the time for the colonies to make representations regarding the provision of ample cold storage. Mr Tavener, Victorian AgentGeneral, congratulated Mr George on securing the key to the Port of London, which was a great step towards proper handling and inspection of Australian produce.
