MARION POULTRY SHOW.

A meeting of Marton Poultry Society was held in the Borough Council Chambers on Thursday evening to discuss matters in connection with this year’s show. Present: Messrs Sicely (chairman), Goebel, Silby, Carson, Oldham, "Woolley, and 'Knigge. The Secretary presented last year’s balance-sheet, which disclosed the receipts aud expenditure to balance exactly, viz., £llO 6s. This year the club had 30s credit balance to start with, last year it was £7 3s. The report and balancesheet were adopted. The Secretary, Mr A. H Knigge, reported that he intended to resign his position as his time was now fully occupied, Thehneeting passed a resolution exrpessing regret and asking him to reconsider his decision. Mr F. G. Carson was appointed secretary pro tern, until the annual meeting of the Society which is to be held on April Ist nest.

Several members spoke on the matter of having side shows to make the show more attractive and having competitions run on both days’of the show, thereby increasing the takings at the door. The appointment of an assistant secretary and Treasurer was held over.g
